Concrete Tank Construction

Site Preparation
Site preparation is the important first stage of the construction of any tank. All our tanks can be constructed either aboveground, in ground or underground, but all tanks require a level foundation of base material (Blue Rock or Equivalent) to a depth of no less than 100mm and compacted to 104 Kpa.There must be sufficient room around the base diameter of tank to allow for the laying out of the formwork , Building up of scaffolding and for the general safety of construction crew.We also require Heavy vehicle access to the site for vehicles such as Concrete mix truck, concrete Pump truck as well as our formwork truck.

Tank Construction
Above Ground Tanks can be fitted with NO ROOF or CORRUGATED IRON ROOF or CONCRETE ROOF.In Ground Tanks are constructed so that the concrete roof is 100mm to 200mm above the ground level(Ideal for Gazebo or Patio area or just open B.B.Q. area).Under Ground Tanks Can be covered with 300mm soil coverage to return your area to its original use.If required we can construct a roof design to include Light Traffic (up to 2 tonne) or if required to include a Heavy Traffic roof (up to 25 tonne) for under driveways or in car park areas. Extra mesh is used to reinforce the roof in these cases. All concrete tops are supported by load bearing columns which are poured at the same time as the roof to enhance the tank strength. The floors of all tanks are sloped for ease of cleaning as needed.
